James and Bryony Hartley, Directors of Serrations, celebrating joining Kaleidex in late December 2025

The acquisition enhances Kaleidex’s position as a one-stop partner for surgical instrument manufacture and repair. By integrating Serrations’ specialist insert capability with Kaleidex’s existing businesses, the group can offer customers an expanded, end-to-end solution encompassing both finished instruments and critical consumable components. The business is also well positioned to support the growing adoption of robotic surgical instruments, an area where Serrations already supplies customers.

James Hartley, Managing Director of Serrations, said:
“Serrations has always focused on doing one thing exceptionally well: producing high-quality tungsten carbide inserts that customers can rely on. Joining Kaleidex allows us to build on that foundation, while benefiting from the Group’s wider infrastructure, commercial reach, and shared commitment to precision and quality. It’s a very exciting time for the company.”

Jon Lynch, CFO of Kaleidex, commented:
“Serrations is a highly complementary addition to the Kaleidex Group. Its specialist capability and reputation for quality align strongly with our strategy of building a connected group of medical manufacturing businesses. This acquisition strengthens our surgical instrument offering and creates clear opportunities for growth across our customer base.”

Gavin Meadows, the recently appointed CEO of Kaleidex added:
This is a fantastic start to 2026 and just the beginning. With investments in new technology and infrastructure to be announced soon, Serrations has joined at an exciting time for Kaleidex and for contract medical manufacturing globally.”

Serrations will continue to operate from its Chesterfield facility, with its existing team retained. The business will be integrated into Kaleidex’s cluster of specialist manufacturing companies, enabling collaboration, shared best practice, and operational synergies over time.
